Help - Plot crises! I have two possible scenarios... which one do you think works best?

Right at the start of the story, my main character needs to be moved from her everyday life to another part of the country, find out the truth about her real father, and be told that she is to become a Werewolf after her 16th birthday.

**This is NOT some teen vampire & werewolf horror-romance crap. Though it starts in 1997, we move through to present day, and there are several adults involved in the main plot. It deals with many human situations, but seen from a different pov. {I've had this story going round in my head for 13 years} **

Option #1 :
Boy (17) an artist, notices Girl (15) at various ‘events’ over a couple of months (roughly June – Aug). At the start of Sep, Boy gives a talk in Girl’s school, and afterwards they take the chance to chat. He invites her to a book-signing in a nearby town that Saturday, and they exchange phone nos. At the signing, he arranges a 30 min break, and they actually get to talk a bit. During the week he calls, and the following weekend takes her out for a cup of tea and a long talk. The two find they are completely relaxed in one another’s company. They meet-up a few more times. *{What neither of them knows is: all the ‘events’ in her area, especially the school visit, have been arranged in the hope the two of them would meet. Someone else, with the contacts to do this, believes the two are meant to be together, and that if they meet it will make what is to follow much easier}*. When the Boy returns the Girl a book he borrowed, they kiss, and suddenly realise they need to be together (good old ‘soul-mate’ syndrome!). Not only that, but she discovers he is a Vampire. They decide to look into her heritage, so Boy contacts his mother with all the family info the Girl has, and a few days later his mother and a family friend {*} come to visit, and the truth of both her maternal heritage and her real father is revealed.

Option #2 :
Girl (K) and her mother (V) are summoned to a solicitor’s office. Along with the solicitor is a man (R), who seems very keen to speak to K. It is explained they are there because of the death of S, and revealed that he was K’s real father. Not only that, but she has an older brother, B. Obviously, V is very distressed about all of this being exposed, and K is both joyous to find she had a father who really wanted her (and that her ‘father’ wasn’t her father), and an older brother, but distraught both at never getting to meet her dad, and that her mother lied to her all these years – kept her from him. She is angry. R mentions that S’s family want to meet K, but they are all in another part of the country, and V won’t take her. R suggests he can, and that she can stay with himself and his daughters. Certain legal documents are then shown – R was S’s best friend, and appointed Legal Guardian to his children (as well as godparent). K wants to go so much, and R even says that if she likes it there, maybe she can move permanently. To reassure V, it is noted that the son of a friend is in the area, and can travel with them {this is ‘Boy’ – A}. K and all her luggage spend a couple of days at the house A is staying in, in case of last-minute panics, and the two get to know one another {basically option #1 condensed!}. A drives K, and R drives her luggage. When they get to where they are going (a long, overnight journey), K actually stays at A’s mother’s house, and they share that kiss. Now knowing about Vampires, it is much easier next day for R to explain the truth about her Werewolf heritage.

Okay, obviously, I’ve left out a lot of little details, but they aren’t relevant. So... which one sounds most plausible?

Sweetie :
No, this definately isn't going to be a 'Romance' novel ~ it's just setting up some background.
The meeting with the solicitor wouldn't be long or drawn-out ~ in real-life terms, it would be about 2 hours.

I just need to know which scenario plays out best ~ which is the most plausible / realistic {ignoring the obvious fantasy elements!}, or least contrived.

Emma :
Thank you. The mother's reluctance is just initial, and she would give her blessing before K goes, and explain her side of things.

I am actually aiming at older readers, but I know that a well-written book will appeal to all ages ~ that adults read teen and teens read adult {personal experience ~ at 13, I was reading books for 18+, and here in my late 20s, I still love Tamora Pierce!}.

TBK :
Wise words, my dear :)
I too have never read "Twilight", and never will!

Thank you all for answering.
In the last 24 hours, I have revised both my options, and made some big decisions.
Emma: It was your 'unique' comment that really got me thinking.

I still love Option #1 ~ I always will, because it evolved earlier this week from the original scenario that had been with me for 10 years. But that's the problem ~ it's a 17-year-olds view of things.

Last night I allowed my mind to wander over Option #2, and my imagination roamed. I filled in all the little details, and even managed to retain a hint of Option #1 {when K & A are introduced, at a book-signing, they recognise each other from a couple of 'events'}. I had feared this option could be draconian and cruel, but realise that if it is played right, it could actually be tender and moving.

So, I will be going with Option #2.
